Acne- Is It Different On Body Than On Face?
For most of us acne is associated with face. That is because acne affects the face more often than other body areas. That’s why many people who get acne on the body think that it is different than acne on the face. What is the difference between acne on face and on other body parts such as trunk, hands?
Acne is a disease of hair follicles.. The follicles all over the body are same. The cause of acne is same for all over the body. Therefore acne is also same. There is no difference at all between acne on face and acne on the upper arms or trunk. Acne can form on any body part that has hair follicles attached with sebaceous glands.
The upper trunk, upper arms, are common places where people get acne. Only skin areas such as lips etc. that have no sebaceous glands will not form acne. Acne therefore needs to be treated with same medication irrespective of its location.

Acne & Sunshine
|
|
Despite the belief that acne gets cleared by sunshine, there is no scientific evidence to this. Excess sun can damage your skin rather than treating acne.
